Parker Hannifin EMEA Sàrl (“PHEMEA”), based in Etoy, Switzerland, is the Principal Operating Company for Parker in the EMEA region. It is supported by a network of Parker Manufacturing Divisions and Sales Company Entities. The Fluid Connectors Group EMEA is a strategic business Group within PHES. Parker High Pressure Connectors EMEA (HPCE) Division is a key service provider to PHES.

The High Pressure Connectors Division EMEA (HPCE) is one of the largest businesses in Parker. Besides the classic DIN (Ermeto) and SAE fittings, quick couplings, multi coupler, flanges, valves, tubes, SensoControl measuring devices, tube forming and pre-assembly machines are part of the HPCE product range and are manufactured in several locations.

The Operations management function at Parker plays an important role in ensuring that best in class standards are applied and shared throughout a network of manufacturing locations encompassing the entire portfolio of activities from planning to product delivery and integrating the key elements of the WIN Strategy such as environmental, health safety, lean, quality and profitability.

Whilst reporting to the Division General Manager, you will provide leadership, support and guidance to the Plant leaders with full P+L responsibility operating in Bielefeld (DE), Schloss Holte (DE) and Siechnice (PL) as well as the Manufacturing Technologies department which employ circa 800 people in total. Essentially, the manufacturing environment consists of metal cutting equipment to manufacture high-pressure connectors and subsequent assembly operations. More specifically but not limited to, the role entails:

  • Implement a “24/7” safety culture to achieve accident free work place.
  • Further refine and implement the operational 5-Year Strategy focused on safety, quality, service, cost and productivity ensuring alignment with the division’s breakthrough targets.
  • Ensure a high level of engagement by actively driving High-Performance Teams (HPT), Star Point and other related initiatives.
  • Establishes and maintains premier customer service at all times.
  • Drive productivity across all locations and improve business results via value stream transformations by regularly executed Kaizen workshops.
  • Champion new production technologies creating the “Factory of the Future” in ensuring a competitive environment and technological leadership.
  • Provide leadership by coaching, counseling, mentoring, training, talent identification, talent management and individual development.
  • Drive a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management.
  • Developing, coaching and leading a team of 4 direct reports impacting more than 800 people based in 3 different locations in 2 countries.

We would like to hear from you if you have:

  • Degree in Engineering or any other relevant discipline combined with a relevant experience in a similar role acquired in a large multinational, complex and matrix industrial organisation.
  • Excellent experience in driving Lean initiatives and problem solving.
  • Seasoned leader able to inspire, motivate and with the willingness to boost empowerment and a strengths based leadership approach
  • Proven successful experience in driving highly engaged and performing workforce.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good planning and budgeting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English. German and / or Polish would be a plus.
