Finance Manager (m/f)

Our client, well established International Company, operating within retail industry, due to dynamically growing operations in Poland is looking for an experienced candidate for the newly created position of Finance Manager. The selected candidate will be responsible to oversee all financial aspects of our subsidiary business in country (network of shops & e-commerce) and to drive the company's financial strategy and planning. Responsible for assessing the financial performance of the subsidiary as well as identifying any possible risks and investments. Direct responsibility for the finance team, ensuring effective financial controls are in place throughout the function.

Podsumowanie / Job summary:

As the Head of Finance in the local subsidiary, this role works closely with the Country Manager and local management team to guide the subsidiary towards profitability and long-term success whilst retaining a reporting line to corporate HQ.

Opis stanowiska / Job description:

  • Partner with global and regional finance teams to successfully develop budgets and forecasts, understand business drivers and influence forecasting assumptions.
  • Provide detailed reporting and commentary on actual vs. plan results
  • Supporting the organisation's business planning processes
  • Provide qualitative and quantitative strategic analysis to support long and short term decision making in conjunction with senior management team
  • Analysing competitors and market trends
  • Monitoring and interpreting cash flows and predicting future trends
  • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures
  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, expenses, invoicing, and other transactions
  • Developing financial management mechanisms that minimise financial risk
  • Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
  • Managing financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems
  • Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation
  • Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organisations
  • Provide coaching and support to the Finance team
  • Close co-operation and collaboration with the local management team
  • Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation

Kogo szukamy / Profile description:

  • Qualified Accountant and/or Higher Education in a Finance/Accounting discipline or related area

  • 5+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, analyzing financial results/statements and developing budget and forecasts

  • Fluency in English is essential, both verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the desire to build lasting relationships internally and externally
  • Commercial accumen
  • Leadership skills with the ability to influence others
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially presentation skills
  • International company experience
  • Computer skills including advanced Excel
  • Familiarity with FP&A planning systems
  • Experience with accounting concepts and financial planning
