Job description:
  • contribute fully to the development of the company's strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision making and providing financial analysis and guidance on all plans, targets and business drivers,
  • ensure the company's financial systems and accounting records are robust, fully up to date, fully reconciled with robust monthly close procedures in place. All accounting records must be fully compliant with all local accounting and tax legislation,
  • take ultimate responsibility for the company's cash management policies,
  • responsible for finalisation of annual accounts, annual audit process and all legislative and regularity requirements of statutory bodies including filling of statutory accounts, taxation, vat etc.,
  • implement group accounting policies and develop and implement local accounting processes to comply with these group policies,
  • accurate and timely monthly and annual close process of financial ledgers ensuring accurate reporting to Group based upon IFRS accounting standards, Group requirements and timelines and delivery of quality annual financial statements,
  • provide Financial Planning and Analysis leadership to Management team to deliver financial targets for the year and also the 3 year business plan with a focus upon Sales growth, EBITDA and cash generation,
  • lead business financial agenda, organising the operating reviews for Trading (execution of the Sales plan) and for Operations (execution of the Cost Competitiveness Plan),
  • facilitate monthly review process of sales segments and IM, operations, sourcing and R&D, providing coordination and leadership within the management team,
  • analyse the variances (vs LY and vs budget; and forecasts & strategic plan) related to Sales and Plants activities and provide reports to the Sales and Operations Directors to give insight as to performance to enable financially based decision making,
  • educate and inform the business of status of performance vs budget and last year through timely, accurate and appropriate reporting. Lead education & communication on operating financials & cash targets,
  • identify gaps vs initial business plans and recommend actions supported by analysis,
  • manage, coach, lead and develop the Finance team ensuring optimal structure is in place,
  • ensure, through appropriate commercial controls, that the business implements appropriate commercial terms with its customers and suppliers, and then lead the review process to highlight and action, together with the commercial leadership, areas of improvement/concern to guarantee the success of the business,
  • ensure customer bids are well thought through and deliver maximum value to the customer and to company whilist minimizing the financial risk to company.
  • proven track record in enhancing the finance function and leading the operation to deliver financial targets,
  • experience as finance leader, experience preferably gained in industrial products and application business with multiple channels to market,
  • ideally previous exposure to operating in a private equity environment,
  • experience in business with domestic and export sales, as well as production,
  • hands-on experience of standard costing, variance analysis, cost productivity etc. within an industrial manufacturing environment,
  • excellent Leadership capabilities with the ability to communicate, motivate, and lead teams,
  • international perspective.
